Jupiters Casino Gold Coast having a $345 Million face lift plus New Resort Tower

The new resort tower includes a six-star luxury hotel with restaurants and bars including excellent outdoor areas. The face lift will give a complete transformation to the existing 592-room hotel and facilities.
Echo Queensland managing director Geoff Hogg said the new six-star hotel tower would be finished before the start of the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
This comes at a time when the State Government’s plans to grant up to three new casino licences across Queensland with one of those most definitely going to be only one hour’s drive away fro Jupiter’s in Brisbane.
Chinese-backed consortium ASF hopes to secure one of those licences for a proposed cruise ship terminal and casino in the Southport Broadwater which is only 15 minutes’ drive from Jupiter’s.
Jupiter’s Casino has been on the Gold Coast for almost 30 years with approximately 1600 employees plus 300 at the Convention Centre. On completion of the new tower that 1600 is going to become more than 2000.
The redevelopment is in line with the philosophical shift that saw Echo’s Sydney property, The Star, refurbished and reconfigured to maximise its views of Sydney Harbour.
The development project will support approximately 1500 jobs in the next two years which is wonderful news for the local community.
