.
A new 104 storey high-rise apartment building is proposed for Southport on the Gold Coast just 1 hour’s drive from Brisbane
The development is planned to be a mixed-use with a resort and residential component and is to be built on a 1.3ha site on the corner of Meron St and Ferry Rd Southport.
The towers is planned to contain 2,200 Apartments, a 200 Room Hotel, 200 Student Accommodation Rooms, 20,000sqm of Commercial Space plus Education Facilities.
The development site falls within the Southport Priority Development Area, which has no height limits for developments and the planned 104 levels will make this building the tallest tower and a land mark.
There are more than 17 major development proposals submitted for the Southport area at the moment and Councillor Dawn Crichlow declaring Imperial City would be the “Jewel” in Southport’s development crown, and Southport MP and Assistant Planning Minister Rob Molhoek said he was “incredibly excited” by the proposal.
There are many companies moving their operations back to the South East Queensland region such as elevator, building supplies, etc… so the writing is on the wall that building and economic growth is on the move and in the right direction…
